2. Depot Network
SG has a network of 8 branches strategically located throughout the UK. Each branch holds stock for local trade customers and many have a van to service local customers with personalised deliveries. All branches have technical staff and are trained to fully support their customers. Over 70% of our sales staff have been with the company for over 10 years. Solutions Group customers know that they are dealing with somebody who understands their business.
3. Customer Service
Solutions Group has a dedicated Customer Service department, whose only task is to provide assistance to our customers. This is not a sales department; they are not targeted to sell. Their only goal is customer satisfaction. They manage everything from shipping enquiries, repairs, returns and warranty issues. In fact any non-technical question a customer may have regarding any product in our extensive product portfolio, our dedicated team can assist accordingly.
4. Technical Support team
Throughout Solutions Group we have an extensive pool of technical knowledge including many engineers with their own individual areas of expertise. All sales staff are trained to guide and help their customers before and after they have purchased. We provide regular training courses in association with major brands, to help our customers keep up to date with both products and techniques for getting the best results from their purchases. It’s all intended to ensure Solutions Group customers make the best and most informed choices when specifying and recommending products to their customer.
5. Planning Service
Solutions Group customers know that if they have a large system to quote for, help is never too far away. Solutions Group can specify and help you design an IRS, MATV or Fibre Optic System, for a hotel, block of flats or a holiday park. We can quickly give you a list of parts to assist with your quotation and with a little more time, a full system drawing can be provided.
Some of our vendors like our creativity and innovative approach to marketing. We have created many campaigns and promotions dedicated to our key suppliers. We are not a marketing company, nor do we profess to be an advertising agency, but suppliers that need a fresh and innovative approach to help grow their sales can utilise our in-house Marketing department. We can design and create eye catching and attractive graphics to promote your brand using email and web site development. Design of attractive artwork geared around our products can be developed for customers who go on to use their own databases to mailshot or e-shot their customers. It’s all part of the Solutions Group service.
7. Service Department
The Solutions Group service department is a dedicated facility for the benefit of Solutions Group customers. Equipped with the latest test and measurement tools, we are able to repair and maintain a huge portfolio of products, from Sky Boxes to Headend equipment - we can fix almost anything. Our experienced engineers can offer guidance and advice via our Customer Service department.
8. Massive Product Range
We actually stock the broadest range of products in the industry, with over £3 million pounds of inventory held in the UK. We hold over 1500 lines from a vast range of manufacturers and can source almost any product you may need. Our branches hold local stocks of popular lines to serve installers and retailers in their vicinity, with access to the entire group portfolio.
In today’s trading environment, customers don’t want to hold stock to any depth. The products they sell and install are evolving at such a fast pace that there is a real chance that slow moving products could be superseded before the reseller has sold them on. Smart retailers and installers have found that working with Solutions Group, they can hold low levels of stock, because they have instant access to our stock. Solutions Group stock keeping is so precise, that if we say we have it in stock, we really do. Solutions Group customers have benefitted from this precision for many years, confident that if they order a product one day, we will despatch it straight away, or if it is more convenient, they can collect from a local branch.
10. Accounts & Networks
We operate on one large computer network that allows instant access to stock throughout the branches and can provide customer accounts that can operate nationwide for installers that work over larger geographical areas. By prior arrangement, these customers can have one credit “account pool” that permits their authorised staff to collect from any location in our branch network. So if you suddenly need an amplifier in Edinburgh and your account is held in Dorset – no problem.
